On November 9^th , 2011, Adobe announced that it has officially stopped the development of its mobile Flash Player plug-in. This latest announcement resulted in the layoff of 750 Adobe employees and a broader restructuring of the staff companywide. The reason behind Adobe choice was clear, to provide their customers with a better product. Adobe will still continue to provide virus solutions and security updates for the current version of mobile Flash, but will halt further developments completely.
